From birth to sacrifice -- that we might live
My daily Bible readings this week before Christmas has "coincidentally" brought me not to the passage of His birth -- but to the passages in Mark of His betrayal, trial, and crucifixion. If you find yourself somehow losing sight of the Reason for the season, I'd urge you to look at that part of Scripture. It's not just about His birth -- but about His sacrifice and death that we might live. I don't recall ever reading this part of Scripture at this time of year before, and, altho it may not be for everyone, it's ministered to me in a very unique way. It's been . . . sobering, but a significant blessing… \0/
