The Reason for the Season is not just His birth - but His death...

My daily Bible readings years ago before Christmas "coincidentally" brought me not to the passage of His birth -- but to the passages in Mark of His betrayal, trial, and crucifixion. If you find yourself somehow losing sight of the Reason for the season, I'd urge you to look at that part of Scripture. This season should not just be about His birth -- but about His eventual sacrifice and death that we might live. I don't recall ever reading that part of Scripture at this time of year before, and, although it may not be for everyone, it's ministered to me in a very unique way. It's
